WHY GO FOR AESTHETICS TREATMENTS
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
What they are
Facial lines are categorised into two types: dynamic and static. Dynamic lines are caused by muscle movement, such as smiling or frowning.
How they change over time
When we’re younger, our skin has plenty of collagen, so it bounces back easily from expressions. As we get older, our bodies make less collagen. This means those expression lines can stick around for good, becoming what we call static lines, which you can see even when your face is still.
Contributing factors
Genetics, sun exposure, and certain lifestyle choices all play a part in how lines and wrinkles develop.
Our purpose
We will discuss treatment options that may help in softening the appearance of lines while maintaining natural expression. We do not aim for an overdone look.
Volume & Contouring
What they are
Losing facial volume is a normal part of ageing that happens on a deeper level, not only on the skin’s surface. It can lead to flattened cheeks and a heavier look around the jawline.
How they change over time
You can think of the natural fat in your cheeks as supportive cushions. Over the years, these cushions can shrink and shift downwards. This can create a hollow look in the cheeks or temples and contribute to the formation of jowls.
Contributing factors
The main factor is the natural ageing process itself. Genetics also plays a big part in your facial structure and how it changes over time.
Our purpose
Our aim is to discuss options that may help rebalance facial proportions and address changes in the lower face.
Under-Eye Concerns
What they are
This concern involves the appearance of hollowness, shadows, or a visible groove under the eyes.
How they change over time
The natural fat pads in our upper cheeks act like a support system for the skin under our eyes. As we get older, these fat pads can shrink and shift downwards. When the area loses that support, the skin just beneath the eye can start to look sunken.
Contributing factors
The skin under our eyes is naturally very thin, so what’s going on underneath can be more noticeable. Your genetics also play a big part in the shape of your under-eye area.
Our purpose
We aim to support a smoother transition between the cheek and under-eye area. Since this is a delicate part of the face, a one-on-one approach is key.
Lips & Smile
What they are
The area around the mouth is known as the perioral region. Changes here can include thinning lips, a loss of shape, and the formation of fine lines.
How they change over time
As we age, the natural loss of collagen and dermal volume can cause lips to become thinner. The vermilion border, which defines the shape of the lips, can soften and lose its crisp definition. The corners of your mouth can also droop due to changes in the skin’s support system.
Contributing factors
The primary factor is the natural ageing process. Genetic predisposition influences the original shape of your lips and how they change over time. Sun exposure can also speed up the process by breaking down collagen faster.
Our purpose
Our clinical focus is to support hydration and enhance the definition of your lip’s border in a way that maintains balance with your natural features.
Skin Quality & Hydration
What they are
A healthy-looking skin is defined by its texture, firmness, and hydration levels. It has a natural elasticity that comes from what’s happening in the deeper layers of your skin.
How they change over time
Cells in the deeper layers, including fibroblasts, naturally slow their activity over the years. When that happens, the skin can lose some of its firmness and start to look a bit dull or crepey.
Contributing factors
Ageing is the main reason for these changes, and that’s completely normal. Sun exposure and other lifestyle choices can also speed up the process.
Our purpose
The aim is to support hydration and help with the appearance of texture and firmness through treatments designed to encourage healthier-looking skin over time. We focus on realistic outcomes and do not promote unrealistic images.
