FAT FREEZING

COOLSCULPTING

A non-invasive option that uses cooling technology to support cosmetic body contouring goals in selected areas. CoolSculpting is commonly used by individuals seeking a non-surgical option to support shaping specific areas of the body, without the need for significant recovery time.

WHAT IS COOLSCULPTING?

TECHNOLOGY
CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis – a process where precise cooling is applied to the skin surface – to target fat cells beneath. The cooling process is designed to focus on fat cells while aiming to preserve surrounding tissues. Individual experiences may differ.

TGA-REGISTERED
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive medical device listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). It is used for cosmetic body contouring in areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, back, upper arms, under the chin, and similar regions where clients may wish to address persistent fat deposits.

Gradual, individual-based changes over time

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE

CONSULTATION
A personalised consultation with a trained CoolSculpting provider is required. During this session, your goals and treatment areas will be reviewed to develop a customised plan.

PROCEDURE TIME
The treatment involves placing a specialised applicator on the targeted area, which delivers cooling for a set duration. You may feel cold or mild discomfort initially, followed by numbness. Each area typically takes around one hour per cycle.

CLIENT EXPERIENCE

Most clients report that the treatment is manageable. Some choose to relax, read, or use a device during the session.

RESULTS & AFTERCARE

VISIBLE CHANGES
Some individuals may begin to notice changes in the weeks following treatment. Results vary depending on individual response.

MULTIPLE SESSIONS
Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on the area and desired results. Your provider will guide you through what to expect.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS AND CONSIDERATIONS

CoolSculpting is generally well tolerated. However, some people may experience temporary effects such as redness, swelling, tingling, or numbness in the treated area. In rare cases, a condition called Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH) can occur. A consultation is required to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for your individual situation.

IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR COOLSCULPTING

WHO IT’S FOR
CoolSculpting is intended for individuals who are near their ideal weight and have isolated areas of fat they wish to address. It is not a substitute for weight loss or a clinical obesity treatment.

COMMON TREATMENT AREAS
CoolSculpting may be considered for areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, and others, based on clinical consultation and individual suitability.
